The TF 04-01 is designed to form tips in disposable medical tubes produced from thermoplastic material. Forming takes place when the raw tubes are automatically fed into the 4 x glass or nickel moulds, that are heated to a specific temperature and time using hot air.

The TF 04-01 is using 4 programmable linear servo motors for automatically feeding of the tubes. This guaranty a precise tube feeding, whereby a constant and repeatable quality of the tip is obtained.

All forming parameters can be stored to products recipes that allows fast and efficient products change of tubes sizes and materials.

The tipform machine is designed to handle 4 moulds at a time; while two moulds are heating up, two others are cooling and vice versa. from a 5.7’ touch PLC panel, forming parameters and recipes are easily controlled. All process parameters of the forming can easily be accessed and a fast feedback is given during setup due to the linear servo motor.

Tube specification

The tube tip can be formed in most thermoplastics as closed, open or curved tips in the sizes from CH 3 to CH 42. Nelaton, Tiemann , Coude, Round open / Round closes For each form and size a specific mould is required.

Production capacity

The Tipform machine has a production capacity between 800 – 1.400 units per hour, depending upon the Ch/Fr size of the catheters, material thickness and the experience of the operator.

The tip forming machine is connected to 1x230V AC 50-60Hz 10A and 8 bar cleaned and dried air. 200 l/min.
It is recommended to operate the machine in a clean room environment.
