The punching tool PP 41-00 is used for side cutting lateral eyes in disposable medical catheters.
This is done to prevent the open catheters. This is done to prevent the open catheter tip to stick to the mucous membrane, or with the closed tip catheter to allow drainage function of the catheter.
The PP 41-00 is pneumatically driven; an air cylinder activates the two punching needles. The air cylinder is controlled with a foot pedal. When the foot pedal is pressed, the air cylinder presses the needles down and pulls them back up when the pedal is released.
It is recommended to operate the machine in a clean environment.
