Tip Forming

TF 02-03 – Tip forming
The TF 02-03 is designed to form tips for disposable medical catheters produced from thermoplastic material.
Product Description
The TF 02-03 is designed to form tips for disposable medical catheters produced from thermoplastic material. Forming takes place, when a catheter tube is placed in the glass or nickel mold. The mold is then heated to a specified temperature for a given period of time. The heat causes the plastic material to melt, and the tube is then pressed into the mold, producing the desired tip shape. The shape is stabilized by cooling the tube for a given period of time. The TF 02-03 is designed for one mold. The molds are easily interchangeable.
Production capacity:
The production capacity is between 200-350 units per hour. Depending on the CH size of the tube and the experience of the operator.
Tube specifications:
Tube Diameter: CH/Fr 3-42 (one mold is used for each CH size). Tube Material: Most thermoplastics. Tube Length: Infinite. Tube Shape: Nelaton, Tieman, Coude, round open/closed. Installation: Power: 1×230 V AC 50-60Hz 10A. Compressed Air: 8 bars of cleaned and dried air. 200 l/min.
Environment:
It is recommended to operate the machine in a clean environment.
Control Panel:
To ensure a constant production rate, the heating time is set on one timer, and the cooling timer set on another. The temperature is set on the heater, and the air flow for the heater is set on a pressure regulator. The pressure can be read on a gauge.

TF 04-02 Tipforming – 4 station, with servo feed
The TF 04 is designed to from tips in disposable medical catheters produced from thermoplastic material.
Product Description
The TF 04 is designed to from tips in disposable medical catheters produced from thermoplastic material.
Forming takes place when the raw catheter tubes are fed into the 4 glass or nickel molds, which is then heated to a specific temperature, and held for a specified time, using hot air. The TF 04 uses 4 programmable linear servo motors for automatically feeding the catheter tubes. This guaranties a precise tube feeding, whereby a constant and repeatable quality of the tip is obtained. All forming parameters can be stored to products that allow fast and efficient product change of tube sizes and materials. The TF 04 is designed to handle 4 molds at a time; while two molds are heating up, the other two are cooling and vice versa. Forming parameters and recipes are easily controlled via a 5.7’ PLC touch panel. All parameters of the forming process can be easily accessed, and a fast feedback is given during setup due to the linear servo motor.
Production capacity:
The Tip forming machine has a production capacity between 800 – 1.400 units per hour, depending upon the Ch/Fr size of the catheters, material thickness and the experience of the operator.
Tube specifications:
Tube Diameter: Ch/Fr 3-42 (For each form and size a specific mould is required.) Tube Material: Most thermoplastics Tube Length: Infinite Tube Shape: Nelaton, Tiemann, Coude, Round open / Round closed
Installation:
Required Space: Length app. 600mm, width 635mm, height 635mm. Power: 1×230 V AC 50-60Hz 10A. Compressed Air: 8 bars cleaned and dried air. 200 l/min.
Environment:
It is recommended to operate the machine in a clean environment.

TF 06-02 Tipformer + punch – 4 stations – automatic servo tube feed
The TF 06 is designed to form tips and punch eyes in disposable medical catheters produced from thermoplastic material.
Product Description
The TF 06 is designed to form tips and punch eyes in disposable medical catheters produced from thermoplastic material.
Forming and punching takes place, when the raw catheter tubes are fed into the 4 glass or nickel molds. The molds are then heated to a specific temperature, for a specified amount of time, using hot air. After forming is done, the eyes are then punched. The TF 06 uses 4 programmable linear servo motors to automatically feed the catheter tubes. This guaranties a precise tube feeding, whereby a continuous high tip quality is maintained. All forming parameters can be stored to product recipes, which allow for fast and efficient change in both tube size and material.
The TF 06 is designed to handle 4 molds and punch tools at a time; while two molds are heating up, the other two are cooling. From a 5.7’ touch PLC panel, forming parameters and recipes are easily controlled. All process parameters of the forming can be easily accessed, and feedback is almost instantaneous due to the linear servo motors.
Production capacity:
The production capacity is between 1.200-1.400 units per hour. Depending on the CH size of the
tube and the experience of the operator.
Tube specifications:
Tube Diameter: CH/Fr 3-42 (one mould and punching tool is used for each CH size).
Tube Material: Most thermoplastics.
Tube Length: Infinite.
Tube Shape: Nelaton, Tiemann, Coude, round open/closed.
Installation:
Required Space: Length app. 600mm, width 635mm, height 635mm.
Power: 1×230 V AC 50-60Hz 10A.
Compressed Air: 8 bars of cleaned and dried air. 200 l/min.
Environment:
It is recommended to operate the machine in a clean environment

SP 01-02 – advanced tip forming
The Tip form machine is designed to form the more advanced catheter tips in thermoplastic material.
Product Description
The Tip form machine is designed to form the more advanced catheter tips in thermoplastic material.
Forming takes place by placing the catheter tube in an electrical heated
metal mould. The mould is heated electrical to a specified temperature for a given period of time. The heated mould causes the plastic material to melt, and by pressing the tube into the mould the desired tip shape is obtained. The shape is stabilized by cooling the mould and the tube for a certain time.
Production capacity:
The production capacity is between 200-350 units per hour. Depending on the CH size of the tube
and the experience of the operator.
Tube specifications:
The SP 01-02 is designed to tip the small sized catheters with a more advanced shape, as the
mould temperature can be controlled very precise.
Tube Diameter: CH/Fr 3-18.
Tube Material: Most thermoplastics.
Tube Length: Infinite.
Tube Shape: Closed, open or curved tip.
Installation:
Power: 1×230 V AC 50-60Hz 10A.
Compressed Air: 8 bars of cleaned and dried air.
Environment:
It is recommended to operate the machine in a clean environment.
Control panel:
To ensure a constant production rate and quality, the process parameters are stored to the PLC via
the control display. The heating temperature, heating and cooling time can be controlled and
stored.

VP 03-01 – Vacuum filter and Pump
With the vacuum pump, production waste such as punch or drill waste can be sucked away from the connected production equipment.
Product Description
With the vacuum pump, production waste such as punch or drill waste can be sucked away from the connected production equipment.
The production equipment and the vacuum pump are connected via a vacuum hose. The punch and drill waste is sucked away and trapped into a filter housing, located on the rear side of the vacuum pump housing. The Vacuum pump is located inside the Stainless Steel housing, the flow and pressure specification of the vacuum pump is chosen depending on the connected production equipment. Depending of the production and waste type, the filter must be cleaned regularly. To clean the filter, the vacuum pump must be turned off, and the filter housing can be screwed of and cleaned.
The power switch is located on the front of the Vacuum pump housing. Depending on control
system on the connected production equipment, the vacuum pump is turned on manually or will be
turned on automatically with your production equipment.
